I'm in the middle of my starting time build and WOW, what the hell is going on here. I pluged the SATA cablevision that came with my Blu Ray optical drive into one of my Mobo's SATA 6Gb/s ports but afterwards that I realized I should plug information technology into one of the SATA 3Gb/s ports since I only have 2 of the 6Gb/s ports for my HDDs.
So I try to unplug the cable but it won't budge, at all. I try to use every bit much reasonable forcefulness as I can without feeling similar I'm going to rip the SATA port off of my mobo but nothing, it stays plugged in like it'southward hot glued in there. I don't see or feel and type of flap or pin to push button in society to "unlock" it from the socket and then what more tin I do here other than gripping and pulling with all my force? Is it normal for information technology to be this difficult to pull out?

Yeah the SATA cables that came with my mobo have that latching mechenism you lot mention merely I used the SATA cable that came with my optical drive and it doesn't have that. That must exist were the trouble lies but what exercise I practice without that mechinism? It clicked into my mobo SATA slot without it but won't come out.

Pull harder, very carefully. In that location is no difference in shape betwixt SATA six.0 and three.0 and then it shouldnt be stuck unless it was put on incorrectly.
